La stagione 2016 del British Touring Car Championship è la cinquantanovesima edizione del campionato gestito dalla ToCA. È iniziata il 3 aprile a Brands Hatch ed è terminata il 2 ottobre nello stesso circuito.

Il pilota ufficiale Honda Gordon Shedden si è aggiudicato il titolo piloti (il suo secondo consecutivo e terzo in carriera). Il titolo costruttori è stato invece vinto dalla BMW, mentre il titolo scuderie è andato al Team JCT600 with GardX, una delle due scuderie iscritte dalla West Surrey Racing. I titoli piloti e scuderie privati sono andati rispettivamente ad Andrew Jordan e alla sua scuderia, la Motorbase Performance. Il trofeo Jack Sears, riservato ai piloti esordienti è stato infine vinto da Ashley Sutton.
