Cratere Fraunhofer
Fraunhofer è un cratere lunare di 57,75 km situato nella parte sud-orientale della faccia visibile della Luna, nella parte sudoccidentale del cratere Furnerius. Il cratere appare di scorcio visto dalla Terra, ma in realtà è praticamente circolare.

Il cratere è stato eroso da alcuni impatti minori, in particolare lungo la parte settentrionale del bordo. Il cratere correlato "Fraunhofer V" si trova proprio nel bordo nordoccidentale, e si estende fino alle pareti interne. Una coppia di crateri più piccoli si trovano anch'essi in quella zona. La parte restante dell'orlo è relativamente intatta, con crateri minori lungo le pareti interne. Il fondale interno è piuttosto livellato, e punteggiato da piccoli crateri. Due terzi del fondale, a sud, hanno un'albedo leggermente più bassa della parte settentrionale.
Il cratere è dedicato al fisico ed astronomo tedesco Joseph von Fraunhofer.
