Gli LSU Tigers, conosciuti anche come Fighting Tigers o Bayou Bengals, rappresentano la Louisiana State University nel football americano. I Tigers competono nella Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) della National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) e nella Western Division della Southeastern Conference (SEC). LSU ha vinto quattro titoli nazionali, nel 1958, 2003, 2007 e 2019. Ha vinto il BCS National Championship nel 2004 (stagione 2003) per 21–14 su Oklahoma nel Nokia Sugar Bowl a New Orleans e quello nel 2008 (stagione 2007) contro gli Ohio State Buckeyes per 38-24, diventando la prima squadra dell'era BCS a vincere più di un titolo.

La squadra è allenata da due anni da Ed Orgeron e gioca le sue gare interne al Tiger Stadium di Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
