Bruce Seven

Bruce Seven (4 giugno 1946 – 15 gennaio 2000) è stato un regista e produttore cinematografico statunitense pornografico[1]. Diresse oltre 200 film ed è membro della AVN Hall of Fame[2] e della XRCO Hall of Fame.[3]

Carriera modifica

Bruce Seven lavorò come tecnico addetto agli effetti speciali in film mainstream prima di entrare nell'industria del porno. Cominciò girando come hobby filmini porno bondage su pellicola 8 millimetri nel 1970 circa. Nel 1980 fu assunto come cameraman professionista dalla Bizarre Video.[4]

Nel 1983 insieme all'attore porno John Stagliano formò la Lipstik Video, una società di produzione di filmini lesbo. Per la Lipstik, Seven produsse e co-diresse il suo primo film, Aerobisex Girls.[1]

Nel 1984 sposò l'attrice pornografica Bionca. Dal 1984 al 1986, Seven diresse una serie di video per la Vivid Entertainment con protagonista Ginger Lynn.[1] Inoltre, a partire dal 1985 produsse e diresse la serie Loose Ends per la 4-Play Video.[4]

Alla fine degli anni ottanta si ammalò seriamente a causa di un enfisema e nel 1989 fu ricoverato in ospedale.

Negli anni novanta girò alcuni film per lo studio Evil Angel Productions di John Stagliano, inclusi alcuni delle serie Buttman e Buttwoman.

Nel 1993 lanciò insieme alla moglie Bionca la loro nuova compagnia di produzione, la Exquisite Pleasures.[1] Produsse e diresse Takin' It to the Limit con Bionca. Il film fu il debutto da regista per Bionca e nel 1994 vinse il premio XRCO Award come "Best Video".[5]

Nel 1995 fu colpito da un colpo apoplettico che lo costrinse su una sedia a rotelle. Continuò comunque a produrre e dirigere. Morì il 15 gennaio 2000 a causa di complicazioni dovute all'enfisema.[1]
