English: Holotype specimen (LFN−PW 2008/5599−LS) of Cryptovenator hirschbergeri Fröbisch et al. 2011 from the Remigiusberg Formation (lowermost part of Rotliegend Series, Upper Pennsylvanian) of the Saar-Nahe Basin (Rhineland Palatinate, Germany), a right dentary (i.e. the right tooth-bearing bone of the lower jaw). The figure was cropped in order to remove subfigures E and F (version of 28 July 2013). Pointing lines in subfigure B were subsequently retouched (version of 9 November 2014), scale bar and designation letters of the subfigures were copied from the screenshot file, and the dentary of Dimetrodon in subfigure C was highlighted (version of 11 May 2019)..
