The American Boeing P-26, nicknamed the "Peashooter", was the first all-metal production fighter aircraft and the first pursuit monoplane used by the United States Army Air Corps. The prototype first flew in 1932, and were used by the Air Corps as late as 1941 in the Philippines. Manufacturer: Boeing Aircraft Co. De Peashooter was het eerste volledig metalen jachtvliegtuig dat door het United States Army Air Corps in dienst werd genomen. Het prototype vloog in 1932 en het toestel werd gebruikt tot 1941.

Die Boeing P-26 Peashooter (Model 266) war der erste Ganzmetalljäger, der von den United States Army Air Corps verwendet wurde. Der erste Prototyp flog erstmals am 20. März 1932 und wurde sogar noch am Anfang des Pazifikkrieges auf den Philippinen verwendet.

Boeing commença l'étude du modèle 248 en septembre 1931. Celui-ci effectua son premier vol le 20 mars 1932. Par la suite, le United States Army Air Corps passa commande de 111 exemplaires qui furent livrés en janvier et juin 1934 sous la désignation P-26A. |
