Il campionato della División de Fútbol Profesional 2019 è stata la 2ª edizione del massimo torneo boliviano di calcio professionistico organizzata dalla nuova Federación Boliviana de Fútbol, che dall'aprile 2018 ha sostituito la defunta Liga del Fútbol Profesional Boliviano.

Formato modifica

La stagione si struttura in due campionati di Apertura e Clausura, ognuno dei quali si disputa con la modalità del girone all'italiana di andata e ritorno. Al fine della qualificazione alle coppe internazionali (Coppa Libertadores e Coppa Sudamericana) e della determinazione delle retrocessioni, viene stilata anche una Tabla Acumulada che tiene conto dei punti ottenuti dalle 14 squadre partecipanti nei due tornei.

Il Destroyers è retrocesso direttamente nella serie inferiore. Lo Sport Boys avrebbe dovuto affrontare in uno spareggio la vincente del Retrocede direttamente la squadra ultima classificatasi in questa graduatoria. La penultima disputerà lo spareggio retrocessione con la squadra vicecampione della Coppa Simón Bolívar.2019, il Real Santa Cruz. Tuttavia non si è disputato lo spareggio per la squalifica dello Sport Boys dalla División Profesional dopo la decisione federale che ha contestualmente promosso d'ufficio il Real Santa Cruz per la stagione 2020.
