:Non parlo tanto bene italiano, per questo continuo in Inglese: In the German Wikipedia, we had the same discussion. We also saw that there are different solutions on the web, cf. http://catholic-hierarchy.org/diocese/droma.html and http://www.gcatholic.com/dioceses/data/provinceITX.htm. However, since the "independent" jurisdictions are characterized in the Annuario Pontificio as "immediatamente soggetta alla Santa Sede", like so many other jurisdiction in the world, we interpreted this as not belonging to the ecclesiastical province of Rome. Otherwize, all the immediate dioceses worldwide would have to be enumerated here under title "Diocesi immediatamente soggette alla Santa Sede". The dioceses enumerated there form part of the ecclesiastical region of Lazio, but not of the ecclesiastical province of Rome, and therefore, the diocesis of Rom is no metropolitan see for these jurisdictions. They have no metropolitan see at all and belong to no ecclesiastical province, but are directly dependent on the Holy See. These are two different ways of being directed by the Pope whiche are not to be mixed up. Thus, we agree with the arguments by Ediedi above.

--Ediedi 06:13, 23 giu 2007 (CEST)
