Il disco modifica

Seppur in alcune parti ancora acerbo, contiene comunque delle canzoni importanti come The Last Trip to Tulsa, ballata-fiume alla Bob Dylan e l'autobiografica The Loner che può intendersi come una dichiarazione di poetica di tutta la sua persona per la lunga carriera che verrà.

Molti credono che l'album sia stato pubblicato nel 1969, ma è un errore dovuto alla presenza di una seconda stampa in quell'anno, che è parzialmente remixata e rimasterizzata. Si differenzia rispetto alla prima per la presenza del titolo in copertina.
