Synaphosus Platnick & Shadab, 1980 è un genere di ragni appartenente alla famiglia Gnaphosidae.
Distribuzione modifica
Le 25 specie note di questo genere sono state reperite in Africa, Asia, Europa e America settentrionale: la specie dall'areale più vasto è la S. syntheticus, rinvenuta nella zona che va dalla Libia all'Arabia Saudita, negli USA e in Messico[1].
Tassonomia modifica
Le caratteristiche di questo genere sono state delineate dallo studio effettuato dagli aracnologi Platnick & Shadab (1980a) sugli esemplari tipo di Zelotes syntheticus (Chamberlin, 1924)[1].
Il genere è con tutta probabilità polifiletico e la specie tipo è stata verosimilmente introdotta negli USA dall'Africa settentrionale[1].
Non sono stati esaminati esemplari di questo genere dal 2015[1].
