Deutsch: Das Haus am Checkpoint Charlie in der Friedrichstraße 43–44, Ecke Rudi-Dutschke-Straße 28 (rechts), in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Der Komplex besteht aus zwei Teilen: Dem Altbau Friedrichstraße 44, in dem 1963 das Berliner Mauermuseum eröffnet wurde, und dem Neubau an der Ecke Friedrichstraße und Rudi-Dutschke-Straße, der 1985–1986 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Peter Eisenman im Zuge der Internationalen Bauausstellung 1984 errichtet wurde und der heute vom Mauermuseum genutzt wird. English: The House at Checkpoint Charlie at Friedrichstraße No. 43-44, corner of Rudi-Dutschke-Straße No. 28 (on the right), in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The complex consists of two parts: an old building at Friedrichstraße No. 44, which after 1963 was housing the Berlin Wall Museum, and the new building at the corner of Friedrichstraße and Rudi-Dutschke-Straße, which was built from 1985 to 1986 to a design by Peter Eisenman, a project of the International Building Exhibition 1984. It was originally a residential building, but is now used by the Berlin Wall Museum. |
