English: This fragment consists of 8 leaves from a large-format manuscript that has long been associated with Theodulf of Orléans. It is actually a quire from Theodulf’s composite manuscript of biblical exegesis, which had until now been thought lost; its remaining parts are contained in MS Paris, BN lat. 15679. The quire, now bound, contains the end of the commentary on the Psalms as well as the beginning of the commentary on the Proverbia Salomonis. Thanks to a partially erased note of ownership, it can be demonstrated that this fragment once was the property of the Abbey of Saint-Mesmin, Micy; in 1632 it came to Bern as part of the bequest of Jacques Bongars.
Deutsch: Acht Blätter einer grossformatigen Handschrift, die bereits seit längerer Zeit mit Theodulf von Orléans in Verbindung gebracht wurden. Tatsächlich handelt es sich um eine bislang verloren geglaubte Lage aus dem bibelexegetischen Sammelband des Theodulf, deren übrige Teile in Paris, BN lat. 15679 enthalten sind. Die heute verbundene Lage umfasst den Schluss des Psalmenkommentars sowie den Beginn eines Kommentars zu den Proverbia Salomonis. Aufgrund eines teilweise radierten Besitzeintrags lässt sich die Zugehörigkeit zur Abtei Saint-Mesmin de Micy belegen. Das Fragment gelangte 1632 aus dem Besitz von Jacques Bongars nach Bern.
Français : Huit feuillets d’un manuscrit de grand format qui ont été depuis longtemps associés à Théodulf d’Orléans. Il s’agit en fait d’un cahier issu du recueil d’exégèse biblique de Théodulf qu’on pensait perdu, et dont les parties restantes se trouvent dans le ms. Paris, BnF, lat. 15679. Ce cahier, aujourd’hui relié, inclut la conclusion du commentaire aux psaumes et le début d’un commentaire sur les Proverbia Salomonis. Grâce à une note de possession partiellement effacée, on peut démontrer qu’il appartenait à l’abbaye de Saint-Mesmin de Micy. Le fragment est arrivé à Berne en 1632 avec le legs de Jacques Bongars.
Italiano: Otto fogli di un manoscritto di grande formato che già da lungo tempo sono stati associati a Teodulfo d'Orléans. Si tratta infatti di un fascicolo del manoscritto composito di esegesi biblica di Teodulfo che finora si pensava fosse andato perso. Le parti rimanenti sono contenute nel ms. Parigi, BN lat. 15679. Il fascicolo, oggi rilegato, include la conclusione del commento ai Salmi e l'inizio di un commento ai Proverbia Salomonis. Grazie ad una nota di possesso parzialmente erasa, può essere dimostrata l’appartenenza all'abbazia di Saint-Mesmin de Micy. Il frammento arrivò a Berna nel 1632 dal lascito di Jacques Bongars. |
