English: Colorized ashcan copy of Flash Comics, featuring Captain Thunder (later published as Captain Marvel in Whiz Comics number 2. An ashcan copy is a publication produced solely for legal purposes (such as copyright), and not normally intended for distribution. Some of the artwork was later used in Whiz Comics number 3 (March 1940, page 14). Color scheme based on the cover of Whiz Comics number 2, representing how the title may have looked if distributed in color.
