''Final Fantasy VII Remake'' finisce per avere molto in comune con le grandi avventure moderne, ma non perde affatto il cuore del [[Videogioco di ruolo alla giapponese|JRPG]], tanto che riesce a confezionare il miglior esempio combat system da anni a questa parte, capace sintetizzare alla perfezione le regole dei turni con la dinamicità di un’azione spettacolare. C’è anche un sistema di progressione completo e interessante, un [[Unreal Engine#Unreal Engine 4|Unreal Engine 4]] gestito magnificamente, e alcuni degli scenari più belli mai comparsi nel mondo dei videogiochi. Con questo non vogliamo negare di aver incontrato anche qualche insicurezza lungo il viaggio, come alcune scelte discutibili nelle nuove appendici della trama, un endgame non particolarmente virtuoso e piccole sbavature legate al sistema delle evocazioni. Sono però ombre che si dileguano di fronte alla grandezza dell’opera, capace di tenere un ritmo serrato e avvincente per oltre quaranta ore, sfociando in un crescendo a dir poco indimenticabile. L’ultimo titolo firmato [[Square Enix]] è quindi un must assoluto per tutti coloro che hanno già vissuto questa avventura, ma anche un ottimo punto di partenza per i nuovi giocatori in cerca di una “storia eterna”, da raccontare e custodire avidamente. La capacità di parlare ad un pubblico così vasto è senza dubbio il pregio più grande di ''Final Fantasy VII Remake'', mentre l’unico vero difetto è che con tutta probabilità passerà troppo tempo prima di poterci rimettere in viaggio.|}}
