L'album è riconosciuto come più che un cenno di sfuggita al rock degli anni '70. I [[Gorefest]] si sciolsero successivamente alla pubblicazione dell'ultimo album degli anni '90, ''[[Chapter13Chapter 13]]'', che proseguiva la linea intrapresa in ''[[Soul Survivor]]''.(I Gorefest si riunirono sette anni più tardi).
