The Renata Tebaldi Foundation is a non-profit organization born in 2004 dedicated to the lyrical singer Renata Tebaldi with the declared purpose "to protect and strengthen the great Artist’s memory and name in the world."[1]. It follows this target organizing international artistic activities

History

The foundation was founded on 30th December 2004 with the authorization of Renata Tebaldi herself and legally recognized on 27th January 2005

Activities

The Foundation organizes and promotes many cultural and musical activities. The best known is probably the International Voice Competition Renata Tebaldi which is held each two years in San Marino Republic. Tebaldi herself took part in organizing this competition, even if she died before the first edition took place on 2005.

Many are the concerts organized to keep alive this project and with it, the memory of the singer.

International Voice Competition Renata Tebaldi

The competition selects singers from all over the world and rewards the ones that have the qualities to stand on the scene of the best international theaters. It takes place every two years and it develops in different selection phases and ends with a concert of the finalists accompanied by an orchestra, it is followed by a prepared and numerous public.

The Competition is sponsored by Theatre San Carlo and by  Theatre Alla Scala, the two theatres on which stages the singer has developed her career.

Tribute to Renata

Concert on 18th December 2012.

Some of the winners of the International Voice Competition are back to Titano Theatre: the sopranos Anna Kasyan, Teresa Sedlmair, Jaeeun Lee, the mezzosoprano Romina Tomasoni, the tenor Davide Giusti, the baritone Filippo Bettoschi and the bass Kwang Ho Choi, accompanied by the piano of Elisa Cerri and Davide Cavalli.

It was a concert dedicated also to Emilia, a land that has been hit by an earthquake in 20120. The income was donated to Fondazione Carlo Guglielmo Andreoli di Mirandola (MO).

Christmas Concert

Concert on 21st December 2013.

The schedule was dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi.

The Symphony Orchestra of San Marino Republic, directed by the Maestro Valerio Galli, essay in arias took by different symphonies: Nabucco, Traviata, Il Trovatore, Falstaff, Don Carlo.

The singers were two of the winners of the International Voice Competition: the Georgian soprano Marina Nachkebiya and the Korean baritone Kyu Bong Lee

The entire assets of the Foundation come from donations, sponsorships, promotional activities and volunteer aids, which allow its existence.
