“European Academy" (EA) is a Romanian association based in Bucharest. The core business consist on implementing projects deal with educational and social topics financed by the ESF (European Social Fund), applying training courses, make technical assistance.

Goals and objectives

The mission of this association is improve the capabilities of local actors. As a Nonprofit organisation, European Academy holds as principal aim the improvement of life conditions of the Romanian citizens in various fields, paying a special attention to the situation of NEETs (Not Engaged in Education, Employment or Training) The target group represented by European Academy are students, minorities, women. The work is structured in synergy with training centres, companies, technical schools, HR enterprises and universities. Thanks to those associations, EA aims to achieving innovative education programmes, events and dissemination activities within the Romanian environment. European Academy has many goals. Some of them consist on addressing employment policies, facilitating the access to labour market for marginalized groups; providing services, training courses and Lifelong Learning Programmes in order to sustain and enhance social inclusion.

EU & ESF Projects

EA implement innovative projects with the founds in order to support Romania, but also to create value in the others partners' countries by promoting equal and fair education, labour rights, taxation, economic development and justice. For instance, some kind of tipical projects could be: Alternative forms of education for all levels of training; Research projects in top-tier fields; Social activities for vulnerable groups; Networking events for decision-makers and opinion leaders; Cultural & heritage projects; Personal development projects dedicated to people with high levels of creative potential.

Training

Helping people get better jobs and more employment opportunities, giving support to workers, young people, disadvantaged groups and all those seeking a job, in Romania and abroad too is another strenght of this association. EA trainings deal with activities such as:

  • Upper training: Post-high school and post-degree for youth looking for a job or specialization;
  • Permanent lifelong vocational education, both for employees and adults in general;
  • Compulsory training (safety laws, environment laws, etc.);
  • Support to companies willing to participate in financed training programs (drafting, managing, applications, etc.);
  • Beginners vocational education for young people (aged 14-18);
  • HR managing service (selections);

European Academy is also proud to make its expertise available to start-uppers and entrepreneurs through interactive trainings dedicated to ambitious individuals who want to enhance their practical skills. In general, EA focuses its efforts to the design of courses and programmes that meet the specific needs of local businesses. At the same time, EA retains nationwide relevance, offering a huge range of development opportunities. These are all tailored to help the improvement of your business performance, along with the necessity to internationalise your activity.

Technical assistance

EA provides consultancy related to preparation and implementation of projects which are eligible for national and international funding (EU, UN, and others). The purpose consists on helping national and local institutions/organizations to improve the process of funds absorption through the use of precise benchmarks and good practices.

Efficiency, sustainability, transparency are essential features inside the activities as well as key principles for European Public Administrations. This allows the association to carry out projects meeting the EU policy principles and thus to guarantee good governance, ensure welfare, justice, tripartite social dialogue, partnership and the required quality standards in order to meet the European citizens’ needs.

Research

The association has inside reseaurce activities dealing mainly dealing with R&I and R&D. The main purpose is to create on-the-field innovations and new patterns in order to improve learning and information management and foster the transfer of know-how activities. EA pays a particular attention to the majority of the research projects is carried out along with leading universities throughout Europe, international research institutes and technology companies. Projects involve the creation and the subsequent implementation of special activities in partnership with international leading companies in many sectors.
