Since it was visible when the history of ancient roman art was not developed as today, according the use of period, it was identified i with a single person, without any specific reason. Aftewards, with other and more recent studies, it was decided that we do not know his name and so it took his actual official name. MM (msg) 23:29, 14 lug 2009 (CEST)Rispondi

Non capisco perchè in alcune pagine di wikipedia questa statua è considerata il ritratto di Marco Porcio Catone il censore (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Porcio_Catone) e in altri casi addirittura il ritratto di Catone l'Uticense. (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scultura_romana). Se dagli storici è stata attribuita ad uno dei due Catone come mai in questa voce non se ne parla affatto?
