Hi. I beg you pardon for not answering in Italian. Unfortunately I'm not able to speak or write in Italian (on peut parler en francais aussi). My aim is to provide in all major languages a category that contains articles about organs or articles which contain major sections about organs and which include the stoplist. All articles should use the same design for the stoplist (which is already used in the German/French/English/Dutch wikipedia) in order to make it possible to copy the stoplists. Please let me know if the name of the Italian category is wrong. Concerning the "French" text: It is highly unusual if not impossible to "translate" the names of organ stops because the name does indicate the construction type of the pipes. So British/American or French Organs have German and Dutch names for organ stops (e.g. Gemshorn or Hohl Fl"ote) and English/German/Italian/Dutch organs have French names for organ stops (e.g. Trompette Harmonique) etc. etc. Just have a look at en:Crystal_Cathedral_organ#Stoplist. Thus, I would recommend to include the stop list of Notre Dame as written by me. --UHT (msg) 20:45, 22 dic 2008 (CET)

My French is not so good, so I'm replying in English. The name of the category isn't fully correct; "disposizione fonica" means "phonic disposal", which is correct if you mean the phonic disposal of organ's stops; cathedrals, on the other hand, can't be included in such a category; so, this category has no reason to exist, unless we have articles exclusively concerning each organ phonic disposal.

About the french text, maybe it's correct (i really don't know) but it is almost impossible for an italian reader to understand that list of french names. I mean, the reader can't gather any informative content from that part of the article, just a few names in another language, and that's IMHO against the quality of a featured article, as Notre-Dame is. Maybe a descriptive article about different organ's stops and configuration can be created and linked above that table.

The category "disposizione fonica" is intended to include all articles that provide the stoplist of a pipe organ (articles about churchs/cathedrals as well as articles merely about organs!). It seems to be the exact translation of "Disposition einer Orgel" or "composition des orgues". It makes it much easier to have one category for alle articles containing the stoplist of a pipe organ in order to make sure that all use the same design and structure. The category has been quite useful and without the slightest problem in German, French, English.

Concerning the translation problem: I don't think the average Italian reader knows the names of organ stops even if they are in Italian. That is why German, English and French wikipedia provide an article about organ stops: cf. en:List of pipe organ stops, where their sound and construction is explained. Could you find some who is able to translate it into Italian? Unfortunately, I'm not able to translate it myself ...

Once again, I would strongly recommend to integrate the stoplist of the Organ in Notre Dame in the article. The organ belongs to the most important and well-known organs in the world. The stop list is the most important information about a pipe organ! --UHT (msg) 13:47, 28 dic 2008 (CET)
