Il cavo obbliquo origina plantarmente dal cuboide, dal 3° e 4° MTe s'inserisce sul sesamoide laterale e falange prossimale; il cavo trasverso origina dalla capsula delle ultime tre articolazioni metatarso-falangee e si attacca come il precedente.
