Claudio Gabbiani (Milan, 1956). Guitarist, composer and performer with live electronics, he has created soundtracks for commercials, television documentaries and environmental soundtracks. He has collaborated with the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he was responsible for the sound direction and computer realisation of various works. He has published on the Lowlands, Halidon, Auditorium, New Sound Multimedia and Recommended record labels.

He has collaborated with numerous musicians, including Meira Asher, Keith Tippet, Jon Rose, Chris Cutler, Roberto Musci, Roberto Zanisi, Giorgio Magnanensi, Walter Prati, Roberto Zorzi, Massimo Cavallaro, Claudio Chianura, Daniele Cavallanti, composing and performing soundtracks for theatrical productions and silent films in numerous Italian and foreign cities.

He has published "Recording Studio: notes on sound recording" - Isu Università Cattolica di Milano and "Trame sonore", musica, voce, rumori e silenzio nel cinema - Licosia (SA)

He teaches Elements of History of Music for Images at the Master in Design and Production of Audiovisual, Cinematographic and Digital Media at the Alta Scuola di Specializzazione in Media, Comunicazione e Spettacolo of the Università Cattolica of Milan, Soundtrack and Music for Audiovisuals at the CIMO Faculty, Communication for Enterprises, Media and Business Organisations of the Università Cattolica of Milan and he is Production and Post-production Consultant for Audio and Video at the Accademia di Comunicazione of Milan. He also teaches Sound for Images and Musical Theory for the Sound Designer course at the European Institute of Design - Visual Arts in Milan.
