Hi, I am John M Mizzi, born in Australia but living in the tiny island of Gozo only 67km squared. My parents are Gozitan and as a boy I grew up in Gozo. After years missing from the island of Gozo my attachment to the island grew even more. Lately I have taken on green values and I am trying to save, with the help of others the island from over development.

My objective of using Wikipedia or www.gozo.us is to make the locals and tourists aware of the beauty of the island. We have the oldest temples in the world lying in ruins. Speculators want to build Gozo into a concrete jungle thus destroying all the natural beauty. As Gozitans we need to leave this island nicer than how we found it. Some people will accuse me of being a political activist to shut me up. I want to help Gozitans to make money from tourism in a moderate way without using tourism as an excuse to destroy our natural heritage. Need to show to Gozitans and also Maltese who rule over Gozo that if Gozo's historical and natural heritage is destroyed so will be tourism which is the life line for Gozo.

Anyway I now have raved on like a lunatic! I have been taking lots of photos and putting them on my server www.gozo.us to show our historical and natural heritage.

I worked with Project Gutenberg and converted 5000 ebooks that can be read on mobile phones (cell phones) also using my server www.mobilebooks.org where users can download these ebooks for free straight to their phone.

Us Gozitans need to realize that if we do not look after our beautiful and magical island, tourism which is our bread and butter, both local and foreign will disappear once and for all!
