Italian clubs modifica

- Thank you [@ OTHravens 7]! I have no doubt about them being correct, it is more about me using them in the right context :-) Quite often two names are used for the clubs. One is stable and that one is used (as far as I can tell) in article titles, tables etc. here on Italian Wikipedia. The other one is used for sponsorships reasons on club web sites, as well as on for example volleybox.net. In the infoboxes it is labelled 'Nome sponsorizzato'. Is there ever any reason to use 'Nome sponsorizzato' apart from writing that it exists (and how it has changed over the years)?
- In Germany there seems to be a habit (at least among women teams) that elite teams change their name depending on the sponsor, but that the club itself keeps its name. Is this common in Italy as well (like with River Volley)? Gunnar Larsson (msg) 22:52, 9 ott 2021 (CEST)
- Italian clubs have one official name, but very often the official name isn't showed because they are called by the main sponsor name or the name of the city they come from. For example River Volley was the official name of disbanded italian club: this club was always officially called River Volley, but media and fans used to call it by its sponsored names, such as Rebecchi Rivergaro when Rebecchi was the main sponsor and they used to play in Rivergaro, or Rebecchi Piacenza when the club moved to Piacenza, or Nordmeccanica Piacenza when Nordmeccanica became their main sponsor, or Nordmeccanica Liu Jo Modena when they merged with LJ Volley from Modena and started playing there (with LJ - alias Liu Jo - as new co-main sponsor). Club don't change their names, but they show in their media relationships their current sponsored names in order to give visibility to their sponsors, which invest a lot of money in order to be seen on their jerseys, social media, tabloid titles and so on.
