Laurence Doherty ha battuto nella finale del torneo preliminare Harold Mahony per 6-1, 6-2, 4-6, 2-6, 14-12, ma nel Challenge Round è stato sconfitto dal detentore del titolo Reginald Doherty per 6-3, 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1.[1][2]

È stata il secondo titolo consecutivo per Reginald Doherty nonché la prima finale di Wimbledon giocata tra i due fratelli.
