Young Dolph, pseudonimo di Adolph Robert Thornton Jr. (Chicago, 27 luglio 1985 – Memphis, 17 novembre 2021), è stato un rapper statunitense.

Biografia
modificaNato a Chicago,[2] Young Dolph ha iniziato ad acquisire popolarità per mezzo della sua partecipazione in Cut It di O.T. Genasis,[3] che si è fermato al 35º posto nella Hot 100 nazionale e che ha ottenuto il doppio platino dalla Recording Industry Association of America,[4][5] oltre a ricevere una nomination ai BET Hip Hop Awards.[6] Ha successivamente piazzato otto progetti all'interno della top fifty della Billboard 200, di cui tre in top ten;[7] collezionando undici dischi d'oro e quattro di platino dalla RIAA per oltre 9,5 milioni unità complessive certificate.[8]
La sua prima tournée Royalty Tour, costituita da 17 date e avviatasi nell'agosto 2016, ha promosso il mixtape King of Memphis e il primo album in studio King of Memphis.[9] Il No Rules Tour, congiunto con Key Glock, è stato intrapreso nelle prime settimane del 2020 con il fine di accompagnare il mixtape collaborativo Dum and Dummer;[10] il sequel del progetto ha valso ai due artisti una candidatura per il BET Award al miglior gruppo.[11]
Il 17 novembre 2021 è morto in un negozio di Memphis dopo essere stato coinvolto in una sparatoria.[12]
